What is diabetes?


Diabetes is a hereditary metabolic disease yet sometimes incurable with chronic evolution is due to decreased quantity or quality impairment status of insulin by the pancreas that increases the amount of sugar in the blood.
Necessary human food must contain three main substances:
-hydrants carbohydrates or sugars that carbon
-proteins
- Lipids ie fat
When the cook must consider the three subs. When cooking for diabetics diabetic cooking say
Diabetes affects the metabolism of glucose and treated initially lead to disruption of lipid, fat consumption and hence the body that increase blood cetonemia ketone bodies and cetonurai (in urine).
There are several classifications of diabetes but the clinical and therapeutic point of view there are two basic forms:
a. Type I Diabetes, insulin
b. Type II Diabetes, insulinoindependent
Type I diabetes it includes the juvenile, the majority of young adults, some mature and rare cases of old, so-called senile diabetes
Type II diabetes is more common form that includes age of 40-65 years.
